This Refund & Cancellation Policy governs all services provided by Guiding Star Global Educational Consultancy (“Guiding Star Global”, “Company”, “We”, “Our”, or “Us”).
By enrolling in our services, making payments, or using our website, you agree to this policy.
1. Scope of Services
This policy applies to:
- Career Counselling Services
- Study Abroad Counselling
- MBBS Admission Assistance (India & Abroad)
- University Application Assistance
- Visa Assistance Services
- Documentation Support
- Educational Workshops & Training Programs
- Career Clarity Programs
- Premium Consultation Services
- Other Educational Support Services
2. Cancellation by Student
Students may request cancellation of services by submitting a written request through email or official communication channels.
Cancellation requests will be reviewed based on the stage of services already provided.
3. Refund Eligibility
Fully Refundable
A full refund may be considered if:
- Payment was made due to a duplicate transaction.
- Payment was made by mistake and no counselling or service has been delivered.
- The requested service has not commenced.
Refund approval remains at the sole discretion of Guiding Star Global.
Partially Refundable
Partial refunds may be considered where:
- Initial counselling has been completed.
- Documentation work has commenced.
- University shortlisting has been completed.
- Administrative processing has begun.
Applicable administrative charges may be deducted.
Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will generally not be provided in the following cases:
- Student voluntarily withdraws after services have commenced.
- University application has been submitted.
- Visa application has been initiated.
- Student fails to provide required documents.
- Student becomes ineligible due to academic or regulatory reasons.
- Student changes plans after admission processing has started.
- Student receives an offer letter but decides not to proceed.
- Delays caused by the student.
- Services already delivered, including consultations, counselling sessions, webinars, workshops, or training programs.
University Fees, Admission Fees & Third-Party Payments
Any amount paid by the student directly to a university, college, institution, examination authority, embassy, visa authority, accommodation provider, or any third-party service provider is strictly subject to the refund policies of the respective organization.
Guiding Star Global Educational Consultancy shall not be responsible for refunding any fees that have already been remitted to a university, college, institution, government authority, embassy, visa authority, accommodation provider, or any third-party partner on behalf of the student.
Once admission has been secured and the student’s tuition fee, registration fee, seat confirmation fee, application fee, processing fee, hostel fee, insurance fee, visa fee, or any other institutional charges have been paid to the respective institution or authority, such amounts shall be governed solely by the refund and cancellation policies of that institution or authority.
Students and parents are advised to carefully review the refund policies of the respective university, college, institution, or authority before making any payment.
Guiding Star Global’s counselling fees, consultation fees, processing charges, documentation charges, and service fees are non-refundable once the respective service has been initiated or completed.
4. Admission & Visa Decisions
Guiding Star Global provides professional guidance and support.
Refunds will not be issued solely because:
- A student is not admitted to a preferred institution.
- A scholarship is not awarded.
- A visa application is refused, delayed, or placed under administrative processing by immigration authorities.
- Government policies change after enrollment.
5. Processing Time
Approved refunds will generally be processed within 15–30 business days through the original payment method, wherever possible.
6. Company-Initiated Cancellation
If Guiding Star Global is unable to provide a paid service for reasons solely attributable to the Company, a suitable refund or alternative service may be offered.
7. Force Majeure
Guiding Star Global shall not be liable for delays, interruptions, or inability to provide services caused by events beyond reasonable control, including:
- Government regulations
- Natural disasters
- Pandemic situations
- Political disturbances
- University policy changes
- Immigration policy changes
- Technical failures
